Harley Quinn Renewed For Season 3

If you’re feeling a bit of the quarantine blues, we have just the news to perk you right up. Ever since the conclusion of Season 2, fans have been clamoring for another season of the much-loved Harley Quinn series. After several months of uncertainty, it’s finally official! Harley Quinn has been renewed for a third season, and will air on HBO Max.
Earlier today, it was announced that DC Universe would be transitioning into a comics-only platform called DC Universe Infinite. Given that they’re leaving behind their scripted project, several of these original series will be moving to HBO Max. Fan-favorites like Doom Patrol, Titans, Young Justice and Harley Quinn will move over to the new streaming service in the near future, and will continue to showcase their new seasons there.
After a chaotically funny second season, we can’t wait to see what the crew will come up with for Harley Quinn’s third season. There’s plenty of villains, heroes and wacky shenanigans the writers could delve into, and it should make for plenty of material. Additionally, it isn’t often that a show gets to explore a continuing relationship between two female protagonists, and we’re very excited to see how Harley and Ivy’s relationship will continue to develop throughout the new season.

The Runaway Bridesmaid Recap
6/26/2020 2:40 pm
The season two finale is now upon us! It’s been an absolute thrill ride this season and it’s saddening to see it all come to an end. What will happen to Harley and Ivy’s friendship as well as Ivy and Kite-Man’s relationship? Read on below to see what happens in this electrifying conclusion.
- Rejected Recognition: While at a ceremony congratulating the Justice League for saving Gotham City from the Parademons, Gordon is ecstatic at the possibility of getting a key to the city. However, the mayor doesn’t give him one and instead gives one to himself along with the esteemed heroes. Frustrated beyond belief, Gordon expresses his anger towards Two-Face, who he’s escorting to Arkham Asylum for his crimes in the Injustice League. The supervillain then slyly convinces the commissioner into running for office to secure the public’s respect and reveals that numerous villains will be attending Ivy and Kite Man's wedding which will give him an opportunity to arrest them all.
- Recovering Relationships: Still disheartened by Ivy and Kite-Man’s wedding, Harley commits herself to Arkham Asylum to be alone with her thoughts in a familiar location. Meanwhile, Ivy attempts to regain Kite-Man’s trust after her and Ivy’s “activities” were broadcasted to the entire city. Having secured Kite-Man’s initial wedding revenue after having Frank devour Condiment King, Ivy convinces her fiance to go through with the wedding as planned. Back at Arkham, despite Clayface, King Shark, and Frank coming in attempting to rescue her, Harley is still adamant about staying in the asylum and avoiding her best friend’s wedding. However, after hearing about Gordon’s plan from the rather obviously two-faced Two-Face, she breaks out alongside him in order to save the day and hopefully keep Ivy’s wedding intact.
- Wedding Crashers: Convincing the GCPD to go along with his plan, Gordon and his subordinates disguise themselves as crew members working for the wedding in order to take them all down. Attending the wedding, Harley attempts to find Gordon and stop his plans despite being obligated to do duties as a bridesmaid. After confusing the venue rep for Gordon and knocking him out, Ivy angrily drags Harley inside and chastises her for messing with the event. Frustrated, Ivy tells her friend that she doesn’t want her there and Harley leaves heartbroken and on the verge of tears.
- Ceremonial Craziness: While dejectedly leaving the venue, Harley notices that all of the flowers are made of plastic and realizes they’ve been placed there, so Ivy couldn’t potentially use her plant manipulation powers. During the marriage ceremony where Ivy is slightly jarred by Kite-Man’s preferred vision for their future, the GCPD manages to gas everyone in attendance and it looks like Gordon is finally going to get the recognition he desires. However, Harley manages to steal a gas mask and uses a rocket launcher to blast the roof which allows for the gas to exit the building. An all-out war between the GCPD and the supervillains in attendance breaks out as Gordon retreats.
- Rejection and Reconciliations: Despite Harley wanting the duo to still go through with the wedding, Kite-Man surprisingly denies going through with the marriage. Exasperated and finally understanding that Ivy wasn’t prepared to commit to marriage, Kite-Man leaves knowing that he wasn’t the right person to share the rest of their life with Ivy. Escaping Gordon and the GCPD, Harley and Ivy finally come to see that maybe they’re truly right for each other and it’s time to open up their hearts to each other with no reservations or worries. Sharing a kiss, the two drive off into the sunset with the GCPD in tow.
No words can describe what the second season of Harley Quinn was able to deliver to us. Hilarious humor, realistic drama, and strong, well-written relationships between these characters we enjoy so much, it would be an utter crime to overlook the hard work that went into this season. Fingers are crossed for a potential continuation whether on DC Universe or a different platform, stay tuned for more news involving the future of this fantastic series!

Lovers' Quarrel Recap
6/19/2020 11:49 am
We’re one episode closer to the season two finale, how bad could things get? Apparently in Harley Quinn’s case, everything will come tumbling down in a whirlwind of emotion and drama. Check out below to see what happened in today’s episode!
- Brainwashed Bestie: We cut to where we left off last episode, Ivy declaring that she’ll kill Harley without any remorse whatsoever. After a brief scuffle on the front lawn, Harley is saved by Kite-Man from the dangerous clutches of her mind-controlled ally. Meanwhile, the Justice League are attacking various Parademons that are wrecking merciless havoc within Gotham City. Both Harley and the Justice League indirectly agree that they need to take down both Doctor Psycho and the now will-less Poison Ivy from destroying the town.
- Dread the Darkseid: While mentally assaulting both King Shark and Clayface with embarrassing memories from their pasts, Darkseid summons himself via an Apokoliptian projection into the base. The ruthless warlord demands that Harley Quinn’s head be brought to him by nightfall as he decides to come in personally to see Doctor Psycho’s progress. If he doesn’t have the head of his former business associate, then Darkseid threatens to take the misogynistic telepath’s head instead. After the threatening message, Doctor Psycho concludes that with the Justice League out of his way, then Harley Quinn will be for the taking and he can rule earth alongside his often belittled partner, the Riddler.
- An Indirect Sy-vior: Heading back to Kite-Man’s apartment, Harley comments that they need to annihilate Doctor Psycho’s helmet in order to free Ivy. Realizing that her now-deceased friend, Sy Borgman, was able to resist mental attacks from Psycho, Harley looks to the cybernetic eye he gave to her as a memento for some clarity. However, the eye begins to blink and despite being initially freaked out, Kite-Man deduces the eye’s doing morse code and plugs it into his television to reveal Sy. Transmitting his consciousness to machine form, the cybernetic elder helps the two create an anti-mind control device to stop their former friend from taking over the world.
- Battle of the Mind: Confronting the Justice League, Ivy now has the unbridled allegiance of a now mentally-controlled King Shark and Clayface as well. Engaging in a powerful fight, Harley enters the battleground via one of Kite-Man’s kites after getting frustrated by his slow building skills. Attempting to make sure that her friends aren’t hurt by the team of renowned superheroes, Harley tries to find ways to stop these powerful, otherworldly beings and snap Ivy out of her mindless trance. After taking out King Shark and Clayface, Harley, Ivy, and the Justice League are all led to Wayne Tower where Superman decides to place Ivy in the Negative Zone for all eternity. However, Ivy suddenly uses her love pheromone to make the heroes turn into lustful, love-struck romantics rendering them useless in a battle.
- True Love’s Kiss: With Ivy delivering Harley to her master, Kite-Man flies in secretly to deliver the devices to her. All of the sudden, Darkseid summons himself into the hideout demanding that Psycho follows through on his promise or it’ll be curtains for him. While distracted, Kite-Man tries to snap Ivy out of her state with a “true love’s kiss”. As expected, nothing happens and Harley and Ivy once again face off in a violent struggle. Left pinned down by Ivy and with no other choice, Harley decides to attempt true love’s kiss herself which surprisingly works. That is, until it’s revealed that it was just Doctor Psycho getting distracted by the kiss, but Ivy is out of his control now and the two manage to take the sociopathic dwarf down.
- Deal Breakers and Heartbreakers: Impressed by Harley’s formidable nature, Darkseid allows her to take the planet for her own with a legion of Parademons as planned before. Surprisingly though, she refuses as she claims that she isn't a true supervillain or even a bad person anymore. Mildly flummoxed, Darkseid departs as Harley tries to express her utter devotion and adoration to Ivy once again. As Kite-Man begins to recover, Doctor Psycho does one last utterly callous, unsympathetic action to spite his former allies by projecting Harley and Ivy’s “bachelorette night activities” for all to see. Utterly heartbroken and with his trust in his fiance completely shattered, Kite-Man stares at Harley and Ivy in disbelief.
The end is near, what will happen to all of these characters that we enjoy so much? Find out next week for the epic conclusion to season two of Harley Quinn!
