Harley and the Joker teaming up to save the Justice League from an interdimensional storybook? What could possibly go wrong? This alliance sounds turbulent at best, so check out below to read all about this episode’s exciting adventures.
- Joking Victim: After a recap of this season’s misadventures from Frank the Plant and his drug dealer, Chaz, the episode cuts back to where we left off with Harley throwing an amnesiac Joker into an Ace Chemicals vat to jog his memory. Emerging from the acid, the Joker is officially back as he begins to laugh his head off, until Harley slaps him demanding to know where the book is. Joker proceeds to reminisce about his new life with Bethany, a nurse who saved him and ultimately fell in love with, and realizes the book is at her house. While reluctant to work with his ex-girlfriend again, the Joker is convinced to work with Harley immediately after she reveals that she placed a bomb inside his head in order to follow through on her plan/
- Deal with the Darkseid: Gotham City is in utter ruins and Parademons are mutilating innocent civilians wherever they go. Discussing their next steps, Doctor Psycho and the Riddler decide to contact Darkseid in order to come to an agreement about taking over the world. Darkseid initially rebukes his offer, but Doctor Psycho attempts to sway him by telling the Apokoliptian warlord about his origin involving a ferris wheel accident and how his lack of growth as a child led to where he is today. Still not convinced, Doctor Psycho promises to bring the head of Harley Quinn to which he agrees to.
- Stories of Heartache: Heading to Bethany’s house, the Joker and Harley are able to convince her that the former is indeed the man she’s grown to love after the duration of six months. Utterly heartbroken by her romantic partner’s rejection, Bethany gives the magic book up to the duo in a saddened, but aggravated huff. However, she proceeds to throw it into the air which is then promptly caught by a Parademon. Harley and the Joker decide to head to the main hive for the Parademons in order to track down the book and save the Justice League.
- A Bride’s Fury: While shopping for wedding dresses, Ivy seems a little disoriented and Kite-Man asks why her and Harley aren’t shopping for her dress together. He attempts to ask whether or not they had a fight to which Ivy rebuffs. Suddenly, a group of Parademons attack the bridal shop demanding to know where Harley is and inadvertently impales Ivy’s dress with a small piece of glass. Infuriated, Ivy murders the Parademons and decides to bring the fight to Psycho in order to keep her wedding intact.
- Hive Mind: Harley and the Joker make it to the main hive of the Parademons in order to retrieve the book. Much to her surprise, Joker proceeds to reminisce more about his relationship with Bethany and begins to wonder if he made the wrong choice. As he compares what he had with Harley’s failed romantic relationship with Ivy, the duo proceed to find and retrieve the book only to be cornered by Parademons. Attacking a few of them isn’t enough and it looks like it’s curtains for the former couple until the hive’s wall is broken through by the Batwing. Batman originally believes that the Joker and Harley have gotten back together and are in league with Doctor Psycho and takes them into custody.
- A League of their Own: Realizing that the two aren’t back together and are trying to save the Justice League, Batman delivers Harley and the Joker to Bethany’s house after they find out they have the wrong book. Professing that he genuinely cared about Bethany and her kids, Joker decides that he wants to give suburban life a shot and gets back together with her. With the help of Zatanna, the Justice League escape from the enchanted storybook and begin to make their way to stopping Doctor Psycho. As she departs, Harley is surprised to see Ivy standing outside of the house. However, Ivy declares that she’s going to kill her best friend after being brainwashed by Doctor Psycho due to her confronting him about messing with the wedding.

Dye Hard Recap

With an unlikely ally by her side, Harley is in for one wild ride as she’s forced to face her former friend in a fight for her life. Broken hearts can lead to the most harrowing of adventures, so check out below to see what happens!
- Paths Crossed: After coming home from an amazing Bachelorette party in Themyscira, Harley attempts to find something to distract herself after being rejected romantically by her best friend, Ivy. However, both King Shark and Clayface are busy, so Harley decides to go out for a night on the town. She finds herself at Wayne Tower and settles herself at the bar in order to find someone to hook-up with for the night. Unfortunately, Harley runs into the last person she wishes to ever cross, a still amnesia-ridden Joker.
- Batwings and Betrayal: While leading the newly reformed Gotham City Police Department, Commissioner Gordon gets notice of Batman wishing to meet him up at the rooftop. It’s revealed that Batman sent a remotely-controlled Batwing to aid Gordon in taking down the Parademons that are still running rampant throughout the city. Meanwhile, Doctor Psycho briefly returns to the hideout in order to pick up some of his possessions after quitting Harley’s crew. Despite Sy Borgman’s shameful remarks, Psycho is still determined to do things on his own as he leaves in an annoyed huff.
- Tower Heist: Trying her best not to provoke her vague minded ex-boyfriend, Harley attempts to leave Wayne Tower despite his attempts to convince her to stay and have a drink. Suddenly, a group of thugs attack the tower led by Gus and take the customers hostage. After knocking out Harley, the thugs handcuff her and her former lover together much to her chagrin. Harley is then forced to escape via a vent with the amnesiac Joker still handcuffed to her.
- A Surprise Guest: Frustrated like a child not getting a toy at the store, Gordon is unhappy that he’s not flying the Batwing as Batman flies it from the Batcave remotely. Noticing the commotion going on from Wayne Tower, Gordon is able to convince the caped crusader to take a break from stopping the Parademons to see what’s going on. Meanwhile, Harley continues attempting to escape with an unwanted accomplice by her side as she suddenly runs into the Riddler, who’s escaped from the clutches of the giant hamster wheel. The Riddler reveals that he’s there to steal a specially-made mind control helmet created by WayneCorp as he then attempts to assassinate the two in cold blood.
- Aligned Forces: Heading up to the top of Wayne Tower, Harley runs into Gordon as he initially believes that the Joker is alive and tackles him without a second thought. Detaining him and throwing him into the Batwing, Clayface, King Shark, and Sy Borgman suddenly fly in to answer Harley’s text for assistance. It’s then revealed that the Riddler and Doctor Psycho have formed an alliance and the latter was the one to send the text to his former allies. Psycho proceeds to explain that the mind control helmet exemplifies his powers allowing him to control the Parademons with ease in order to take over Gotham City and then inevitably, the entire world.
- A Noble Sy-crifice: A raging battle ensues as our trapped “heroes” are attempting to take down Psycho and Riddler’s army of mindless monsters from another world. Doctor Psycho proceeds to take over the minds of both Clayface and King Shark and pits them against their companions. When all hope seems lost, a little help from Gordon and the Batwing is able to briefly disorient Doctor Psycho and Harley’s mind-controlled friends from finishing the job. Deciding to take one for the team, Sy chooses to sacrifice himself in order to break the forcefield that’s keeping them in there.
- Memory Relapse: Giving his eye as a memento to Harley, Sy turns himself into a living bomb as he flies up into the forcefield and destroys it. Harley, Gordon, and the Joker proceed to escape much to the annoyance of Doctor Psycho. After realizing that finding the Justice League is the only way to stop Doctor Psycho, Harley is forced to make a rough decision after the Joker reveals that he’s been having dreams about a “past life” with one of them involving the book that trapped the team of superheroes. Taking him to Ace Chemicals, Harley reluctantly shoves him into the same pit of acid that turned him into the Joker in the first place in order to jog his memory.

Bachelorette Recap
5/31/2020 12:17 pm
Harley’s switching her hats this weekend, and becoming the HBIC of Ivy’s crazy bachelorette party, while the guys have some smoother sailing in their bachelor party. A lot happens, so let’s get our recap going:
- Destination - Themyscira: It’s Ivy’s bachelorette weekend, and Harley wants to make it perfect, because she’s a great friend, of course, no other reason...and she has rounded up quite an assortment of guests. There’s Mrs. Freeze, Harley’s pity invite for her role in Mr. Freeze’s death. Jennifer, middle-aged suburban mom with wine shirts, and all-around normal person; her connection to Ivy you might ask? They went to kindergarten, and promised to be each other’s maid of honor (though Harley has taken that position in Ivy’s wedding), and other than that not a lot in common. Lastly, but certainly not least: Catwoman, who doesn’t seem too enthusiastic about the weekend getaway. But nonetheless, Harley will make sure everyone is ready to party!
- Commercializing Amazons: Themyscira, the once secluded island, is now a commercial resort, headed by Eris, complete with soap concierge. Although something seems off, Ivy brushes it off, and soon enough, they’re settled in and Harley’s going over itineraries, which Ivy doesn’t initially brush off, but Harley assures her it’s all so Ivy has the best bachelorette party ever. But Catwoman doesn’t buy it. She gleams exactly what happened, and how Harley’s act is all an attempt to deny her feelings, though by saying something, that unfortunately leads to Selina ending up as Harley’s confidante, much to her chagrin.
- Puzzle Time: Meanwhile, the boys are content to chill on a yacht, and build a puzzle. All except King Shark, who would rather stay inside the cabin, to everyone’s confusion. Until a rogue lobster very reminiscent of another talking & singing red lobster explains everything. KIng Shark, aka Nanaue, has to go back to his home in the sea and marry Tabitha, to keep the Federation of Sharks agreement. While King Shark is completely opposed to the idea of arranged marriage, which is why he ran away in the first place, he agrees to go with Samson the lobster to finally tell his father off.
- Harmony or Bust: While the ladies are waiting for Ivy to come, Harley notices the other participants are grouchy and not in the spirit, which prompts Harley to get them back in line. It works, kind of, but Ivy is happy that everyone’s getting along. When Eris comes along, with Hyppolyta beside her, Ivy seems to be seeing some cracks in this whole social-media-savvy take that Themyscira has taken up, but Harley once more brushes it off. At Jennifer’s inquiry, Eris reveals of an island called Hedonikka, and as it has men, Harley immediately signs them up for it.
- Skirting Copyright Infringement: After a musical number parody, in which Samson details that the sea is better because you can go to the bathroom anywhere, King Shark is still unconvinced, so Samson goes for the heavier stuff: if the marriage doesn’t happen, a lot of sharks will die. That convinces him to reconsider, though Samson takes it as an acceptance of marriage, and rushes to announce that the wedding is on!
- Just Gals Being Pals: The ladies are definitely having a much better time in Hedonikka, with Jen mesmerized by Ares’ dance routine, while Mrs. Freeze shacks up with Maxie Zeus, allowing Catwoman to swipe some money from him. Harley and Ivy are dancing, with the latter impressed by all the hard work Harley has done. And then the next morning they wake up in bed together. Which makes Ivy freak out, and Harley is dejected at the reaction, trying to reassure Ivy that it meant nothing, though Ivy heads right to the main desk in order to see about leaving, though there is no way out the island, prompting Ivy to lock herself in her room until the end of the weekend.
- Crown Jewels: After a brief interlude to check in on King Shark’s plans to cancel the marriage, which chain-smoking Tabitha also opposes, we’re back with Harley, who runs into Catwoman. She tries to get some advice from Selina, but doesn’t get any help, nor from a passed out Jen. So Harley tries to appease to Ivy, brushing off the whole thing, promising that the best of the weekend is still yet to come. After everyone is gathered, Harley reveals her master plan: she knew all along that Eris was mind-controlling the Amazons, and Queen Hyppolyta, in order to take over the island to eventually sell it off to none other than Lex Luthor, but they’re there to thwart the plan and kill Eris. Which is the perfect thing that Ivy could have expected.
- Taking a Stand: King Shark tells his father off, and his dad gives him an ultimatum, if he leaves, he can never return, and King Shark does just that. Meanwhile, the Cobb Squad barges in on the meeting, effectively stopping Eris and her army for trying to sell out Themyscira and the Amazons & not having bottomless mimosas. After that, Hyppolyta comes to, and Harley explains what happened. To thank them, Hyppolyta will celebrate them in the ancient Amazon tradition, with a rager.
- Unique Connection: While the other ladies are partying, Harley and Ivy are once again getting closer, and once again end up in bed together. While Ivy once again goes off on a rampage of using every swear word combination known, Harley finally asks why Ivy is so upset or feels this is so wrong. Ivy feels like it will lead their friendship to end, but Harley has an entirely more positive outlook for them, one where they work together and do fantastic things. She leaves Ivy to do some thinking, and we get a chance to check in with the guys again. King Shark returns, with everyone thinking he stood up to his dad, but turns out he gave in and married Tabitha. But it’s just for appearances, they can see others. This confuses KIte Man, who doesn’t understand that being rejected isn’t part of the plan.
- Alone on the Runway: The girls are back, Mrs. Freeze and Maxie Zeus are getting into their car, happy as can be, Jen is a changed woman, much to her husband’s surprise, and who knows where Catwoman ran off to. Then Ivy goes to talk to Harley to give her a heavy dosage of reality. While the offer was tempting, and Ivy trusts Harley with her life, she doesn’t trust Harley with her heart, and ultimately chooses to go with Kite Man, and the marriage, leaving Harley all alone crying.

Inner (Para) Demons Recap
5/22/2020 8:55 pm
When Harley Quinn gets her hand on an army of Parademons, you know something is about to go down. Taking a dive into the cosmic side of the DC expanded universe, this episode shows how a little resentment towards one’s feelings can snowball into an invasion of monstrous aliens from another world! Check out below to read about all of the pandemonium.
- Deal or No Deal: With the Injustice League finally taken care of, Commissioner Gordon decides upon himself to call up the President of the United States to inform him that Gotham City is ready to be a part of the country again. However, the world leader declines as he believes that there is still one more major threat to the city that’s keeping it from reopening to the public: Harley Quinn. While initially brushing off the magnitude of taking down the supervillainess, the president insists that if Gordon is able to take Harley out, Gotham City will be put back on the map. Gordon then proceeds to vow to take down our lead in order to bring his city back to normal.
- Awkwardness Abound: Harley and Ivy are both still in shock over their impulsive decision in the prior episode. They ultimately both agree that it was something that happened in the heat of the moment and didn’t truly mean anything. While Harley feigns her composure and insists that she’s alright, the audience can tell that a lot is going through her mind which Ivy unfortunately doesn’t pick up. Ivy admits that she doesn’t want anything to mess with the duo’s close camaraderie while also still keeping up with her upcoming marriage to Kite-Man, whom Ivy is supposed to have brunch with his parents with later that day despite not making the reservation earlier.
- A Not-So Simple Plan: Wanting to keep herself busy to avoid thinking about her kiss with Ivy, Harley starts to brainstorm ideas with her reluctant crew on what to do next to make her the next big super baddie. All of the sudden, Batgirl comes in on her motorcycle to reveal that her father is planning on bringing in an army to take her down. Despite her insistence on being a supervillain even with the fairly heroic deeds she’s done and on the fact that Batgirl’s trying to coax her to lie low, Harley decides to find another army to stop Gordon and his allies.
- The Parent’s Traps: Arriving at the restaurant, Ivy meets Kite-Man’s parents, a pair of snobbish and frankly unpleasant individuals who chastise Kite-Man for every little inconvenience. Surprisingly though, Ivy slowly begins to get along with her persnickety in-laws after she’s able to get them a better table with the help of her powers. However, as Kite-Man briefly leaves, Ivy is disgusted by the fact that his parents are so keen on their marriage on the fact that she has powers and he doesn’t outside of his kite. Having enough of her in-laws looking down on him, Ivy proceeds to curse out Kite-Man’s parents not caring anymore about their approval as she explains to them that he’s not lucky to have her, she’s lucky to have him.
- Apokolips Now: After stealing a Mother Box from Mister Miracle, Harley and her allies transport themselves to Apokolips where they witness Darkseid crushing the head of fellow New God, Forager, like a grape. Darkseid senses pain within Harley as she tries to convince the warlord to give her an army to annihilate Gotham City and Gordon. Having to earn his approval, Darkseid orders that Harley has to defeat Granny Goodness in a battle to the death in order to get his assistance. With a little help from Doctor Psycho, Harley is able to bludgeon Granny Goodness to death and earns Darkseid’s respect which in turn allows her to gain access to an army of Parademons.
- War Games: After enlisting the help of Gotham’s citizens in his fight against Harley Quinn, the new master of a colony of vicious, merciless Parademons enters battle against the commissioner and his companions. Bloodshed reigns all over Gotham CIty as various Parademons brutally murder a good chunk of Gordon’s allies in combat. As she slowly begins to slip into madness, Ivy rushes to her friend’s aid to ask if all of this senseless violence and death is really worth all of this effort. Ivy wants to know what Harley really wants and is this truly her ultimate endgame, which she then decides that this isn’t the path she wants to take prompting her to break the staff in two.
- The Doctor is Out: Infuriated by Harley sending the Parademons back to Apokolips, Doctor Psycho quits Harley’s crew after having enough of her inconsistency and lack of ambition in taking over the world. Harley finally accepts that she needs to talk to Ivy about how she’s feeling after their impromptu. However, Kite-Man barges in and Harley is sadly reminded once again that he’s Ivy’s soon-to-be husband and she can’t interfere in her best friend’s personal life like that. When Ivy asks once more about what she wanted to talk about, Harley brushes off her true feelings once again and lies that she wants to discuss Ivy’s upcoming bachelorette party, which ends the episode.
Another adventure with our favorite anti-heroes has now come to an end, check in next week for another riveting episode and recap!
